STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING GRADUATE ASSISTANT
JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Strength and Conditioning Graduate Assistant

Responsible to:  Director of Sport

Main Purpose:  To support the delivery of the schools outstanding Strength and Conditioning programme in
the Senior School through coaching pupils and sharing your enthusiasm for Strength and Conditioning  with
our pupils.

Roles and Responsibilities:

•  To support the delivery of the strength and conditioning programme, leading athletic development

sessions that reflect the age and physical development of the pupils

•  To  monitor  the  gym  offering  high  level  coaching  to  small  groups  and  individuals  as  part  of  our

scholarship programme to stretch the most able pupils

•  To contribute with designing and implementing training / rehab programmes for pupils
•  To assist with the collection and presentation of pupils physical and monitoring data, including game

footage

•  To  support  the  wider  delivery  of  the  Sedbergh  Sports  programme,  working  with  other  heads  of

sports.

•  To  assist  with  administration  tasks  related  to  Sport  and  the  wider  sports  programme,  including
engaging with the use of school systems, including socs and isams, to organise and register fixtures
and games afternoons.

•  To work collaborative with fellow graduate assistants to support the Sedbergh Sports programme on

event days such as sports scholarship days and tournament days.

•  Play a full and active role in the busy boarding environment, being a resident tutor in a boarding

house, including tutoring, supervising, and leading activities.

•  Demonstrate a proactive approach to engaging with young people.
•  To take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding of children and young people
•  To undertake other duties within the post as requested by your line manager or senior management

team.

•  Support for UKSCA accreditation can be given
