Retail Media Marketing Activation Assistant – Beauty

About the role

Retail Media has been identified as a key enabler of profit growth across JLP and is a priority for the Partnership. We are at the start of an exciting transformation journey to evolve our capability in this space in order to help deliver more personalised experiences to delight our customers and create compelling and impactful Retail Media propositions for our brand partners. To deliver against this ambition, we need to accelerate our Retail Media maturity and curate and develop a market-leading and differentiated portfolio of propositions across the JLP portfolio.

As a Retail Media Activation Assistant, you will support the Activation Managers and Specialists to deliver the annual calendar of initiatives agreed with brands and activate dedicated campaigns for beauty suppliers. This will include defining the brief and briefing into channels for activation. You will also support the coordination of client participation in brand and seasonal campaigns with the Campaign Activation team.

You will monitor the performance of your Retail Media campaigns, prepare PCA reports to inform the Sales and Planning team's conversations for the plans for the following year. You'll be organised, adept in working with insight and customer segmentation, always with an eye on marketing channel effectiveness and driving outcomes for our suppliers.

You will have a thorough understanding of and a passion for marketing, making use of a variety of marketing best practices to meet the objectives set. You'll have strong commercial acumen, natural ability with insight and data and work well under pressure. Your ability to deliver compelling presentations will be regularly used, and you will be a collaborative and proactive team member, forming part of matrix business and marketing teams to create campaigns which are bigger than the sum of the parts.

If you join us from 5th October, in addition to your contractual pay, any time worked between 22:00 - 06:00 will attract Night Premium at a rate of £4.00 per hour. This will also apply to existing Partners who have enrolled onto Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.

  • The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach, meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The Retail Media team aim for around 2 days a week in the office to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings.Working pattern/flexible working-
  • This role is based at our London Head Office campus in Pimlico. Please note, any cost incurred as a result of travel to the office is the responsibility of the successful candidate. There is no travel allowance for this role.Location-

Key responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of the annual calendar of initiatives agreed upon with beauty suppliers. This will include briefing booked activity into channels for activation.

  • You will be required to write effective and clear briefs to our creative agency and internal channels, managing the process end-to-end.

  • You will be responsible for managing onsite placements, which includes briefing our design agency & online platforms, acquiring assets from our suppliers, and capturing proof of execution for reporting.

  • You will also brief and activate other below-the-line activities, including in-store beauty windows & sites, loyalty rewards, in-order sampling and CRM placements.

  • You will monitor the performance of your supplier-funded campaigns and prepare PCA reports to inform Retail Media Sales team conversations for the plans for the following year.

  • You'll be organised, capable of working at a fast pace, and able to manage multiple suppliers and campaigns.

  • Support relationship building with key stakeholders.

  • Work collaboratively across the business to ensure delivery of agreed milestones

Essential skills/experience you’ll need

  • Evidence of effective stakeholder management

  • Experience working with projects, managing multiple deadlines, and completing tasks to a high standard

  • Evidence of strong written and verbal communication

  • Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing priorities and deadlines

  • Strong attention to detail, showing initiative and problem-solving

  • Positive attitude, flexibility, and collaborative in your approach

  • Proactive and manages workload effectively in a fast-paced environment

Desirable skills/experience you may have 

  • Relevant marketing campaign management experience

  • Experience in data, insight and analytics

  • Relevant experience supporting within a retail media environment

  • Further qualifications in marketing or business

  • Relevant experience working within the retail sector
