Internal Communications Specialist (Interim contract for 12 months)

Home-based with travel across SeeAbility Homes

£37,400 per annum plus benefits 

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours

About the Role

 

The Internal Communications specialist is responsible for connecting and engaging every part of the organisation through the implementation of our internal communications strategy. Our internal communications approach is about connecting colleagues and promoting the voice of our people, bringing the organisational strategy to life, setting a cultural tone of inclusion as well as vividly telling the stories of success that are the heartbeat of SeeAbility.

If you’re creative, have a passion for all things internal communications paired with the drive to engage our colleagues with what is happening across SeeAbility, capturing their views and bring our values to life, we’d love to hear from you! 

You will work with relevant teams to improve channel mix and infrastructure, bringing our employees’ internal communications experience to the next level. You will believe that internal communications is more than a newsletter, and will help create real change by using multiple channels to reach colleagues in fun and engaging ways.

This role requires someone who has a natural ability to build relationships across SeeAbility and is able create effective communications, including developing innovative content and creative assets. You will be able to identify, craft and deliver key messages, narratives, and information in succinct and wildly engaging ways. You will be able to handle sensitive issues when needed and communicate them appropriately. You will have a desire to work in a fast-paced environment, working flexibly and delivering measurable impact. This will be paired with technical know-how of key communication channels and content including intranet, print, film, digital and social media.

Candidate Profile 

  • Ability to create effective communications, including developing innovative content and creative assets.
  • Able to identify, craft and deliver key messages, narratives, and information, that at times are complex or sensitive in succinct and engaging ways to capture audience attention.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, working flexibly and delivering measurable impact.
  • Ability to work both strategically and pragmatically, writing and producing content that is accessible, inclusive, and engaging.
  • Knowledge of communicating using a variety of communication vehicles to best suit your audience.
  • Technical knowledge of key communication channels and content including intranet, print, film, digital and social media
  • Have a natural ability to build relationships, network, and collaborate across the organisation through influencing, being approachable and empathetic.
  • You will have excellent problem solving, decision making and prioritising skills.
