Job title: Programme Manager

Contract length: Two-year fixed-term contract - renewable - in what is anticipated to be a 4.5 year programme
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Programme Manager to lead the operational delivery of an inclusive development programme. This initiative aims to empower young people with disabilities across Africa, with a strong focus on young women. By providing market-aligned training, seed funding, and engaging with key stakeholders, the programme seeks to dismantle barriers to participation in the digital economy and promote inclusive workforce practices.
Responsibilities
As the Programme Manager, you will:
- Act as one of the primary points of contact for consortium partners, ensuring alignment with programme goals and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements and guidelines, including monitoring and reporting on the use of funds.
- Develop and implement joint work plans with consortium partners, clearly defining roles and responsibilities.
- Facilitate the sharing of knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned among consortium partners.
- Address and resolve conflicts within the consortium, ensuring harmonious collaboration.
- Organise and lead regular consortium governance meetings to review progress and plan future activities.
- Represent the consortium in meetings with donors, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee the work of the programme team, ensuring high-quality project documentation and reporting.
- Support partners in accessing technical advice and expertise for successful programme implementation.
- Coordinate monitoring and evaluation with partners, ensuring timely and consistent data collection, analysis, and reporting, working collaboratively with functional MEL expertise.

Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A proven track record within Programme/Project management in an INGO environment at Programme Manager level.
- Experience working within a successful consortium.
- Significant experience in strategic programme development, advocacy, monitoring and evaluation, and logistics and supply chain management.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Experience with skills training/development, internships, employer engagement, and disability inclusion.
- A strong understanding of disability inclusion and gender equality principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong project management skills, including practical implementation of programme policies and approaches, and M&E.
- Line management, team management, and mentoring skills.
- Good IT skills and the ability to work with project budgets, forecasts, and reports.
