JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Department: Property Steward Operations Essential Function – Job Summary You will be responsible for cleaning, preparing, and caring for a unique historic building that is let for short holidays. Changeover days are normally Mondays and Fridays, unless it is a Bank Holiday, and work is to be undertaken between 10.00 and 16.00. Your contract will show the number of hours the work is likely to take at your particular building. Relationships The Property Steward reports to the Property Manager for the cluster. Key Accountabilities You will ensure the property is thoroughly cleaned and fully prepared for guest arrivals. With a keen eye for detail, you’ll check that the property is stocked with the correct inventory and promptly report any maintenance issues to the Property Manager. You’ll be responsible for managing the supply and quality of linen and other property essentials, as well as carrying out routine fire safety and water temperature checks (training will be provided). You will be a point of contact in advance of and during your guests' stay. Guests will also have contact details for the Booking Office, Property Manager, and our Out of Hours support line. You will care for the property as if it were your own to ensure that our guests have the best possible experience. Regular communication with the Property Manager will be essential to maintaining quality and addressing any maintenance issues quickly and effectively Skills General cleaning and experience in physical, practical tasks is an advantage; however, attention to detail and commitment to customer care are essential in this role. You will be self-motivated, with an enthusiastic attitude and willingness to work in an historic building. Previous experience as a cleaner would be an advantage not essential. This is a physical role, and a reasonable level of fitness and strength will be required. Training Training will be provided in a range of areas both for your and our guest's safety. You will have a Landmark Trust email address and access to the internet is essential to carry out this training. You will receive regular emailed updates and communication relevant to their role.
