Job Summary To be a key member of the Adult Service team, offering people we support a wide range of Jewish experiences and enabling them to live the religious aspects of their life as they wish to. Acting as the “go to” person for advice on Jewish matters in this service. 2. Key Tasks ♦ Delivering Limudei Kodesh/Jewish Studies and Parsha sessions to people supported at Good Days and Supported Living, both 1:1 and in small groups. ♦ Facilitate davening and helping men put on Tefillin at Good Days ♦ Run music and singing sessions (both Jewish and secular) at Good Days and in Supported Living, including some early evening sessions and playing at events such as Chanukah, Purim and Succot parties. ♦ Champion engagement with people we support and employees, act with integrity, share information, celebrate achievements, and be a welcome and familiar presence in the homes and services to contribute to our aims and the wellbeing of those we support. 4. Operational Tasks ♦ Build strong, positive relationships and fully collaborate with and include people we support and colleagues in all aspects of your work. ♦ Impart to staff and enthuse them that enabling people to fulfil their religious wishes in a person-centred way is central to fulfilling our vision and mission. ♦ Pro-actively plan and organise that people are enabled to daven (pray), learn Jewish studies, celebrate Shabbat and Yomim Tovim, etc. according to their wishes, making sure all necessary actions have been organised in advance. ♦ Promote and enhance a positive Jewish atmosphere in services as appropriate, ensuring a person-centred approach and respecting equality, diversity, and inclusion. 5. Communications ♦ Assist with producing reports regarding religious needs, requirements and progress, compliments and complaints, and continuous learning.
