Advanced Imaging Intern

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen with Rossdales Veterinary Surgeons for a 12 or 24 month Advanced Imaging Internship at our Diagnostic Centre in Exning, near Newmarket, working in our diagnostic imaging team. This position is suitable for a veterinary surgeon with a keen interest in all aspects of equine diagnostic imaging.

 

This is a full-time role working 49 hours per week Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings. This role will include contribution to the hospital clinician on call rota at the Exning site in the evenings and weekends.

 

Applicants should have a basic working knowledge of equine radiography, ultrasonography, diagnostic analgesia and orthopaedic investigation. The successful applicant will be expected to manage cases, organise a team and communicate with clients on a daily basis.

 

We will provide teaching in all aspects of image acquisition, with an emphasis on MRI and CT. Although not a feature of the internship, some basic training in image interpretation may also be provided.

 

The successful candidate will be able to take advantage of an excellent CPD package which promotes learning both externally and with access to the internationally renowned Rossdales CPD courses.

 

The ideal candidate will be registered or eligible to register with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), will have the ability to maintain a calm manner under pressure, be a team player and integrate with our multidisciplinary specialist team. The successful individual will be highly motivated, with outstanding attention to detail, excellent client management skills with a high level of accuracy, verbal and written communication skills.
