Playgroup Supervisor

Saltney Small Steps, located at Saltney Ferry CP School, is looking to appoint a Playgroup manager.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic person who loves being outside as much as in!

You will work alongside the team and to maintain this well-established setting. We're also looking for someone with the confidence and ability to develop the care and learning that is already on offer.

You must be highly motivated with a fun loving approach, whilst keeping the children at the centre of everything you do to ensure their learning experience is positive and special.

Experience working in Early Years or in a Playgroup, with knowledge of the Foundation Phase is essential. Level 3 qualification is required for this role, with a commitment to work towards your level 5.

This position requires you manage a team consisting of two other team members. to contribute to. It is important for you to demonstrate a confident and consistent approach whilst maintaining the high standards within the setting.

The ability to bring new ideas and ensure that the children's learning environment is exciting, allowing the children to explore and instigate their own play experiences.

Good communication skills are essential as there is always a requirement to liaise with parents, other professionals and work colleagues, within playgroup and Saltney Ferry Primary school.

This is the first step in the childs educational journey therefore it must be a positive and fun filled experience.

Salary: £19,110 plus 1 free childcare place available to the successful candidate, subject to conditions.

Monday –Friday 35 hours per week term time only.

Successful shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a half hour session within the Playgroup setting. During this time candidates will be asked to read a book of their choice and to create an activity linked to the book for a small group of children.
