The Royal Hospital Chelsea is seeking an experienced Deputy Care Home Manager to join our successful Infirmary team, supporting the delivery of exceptional care to our community of Army veterans. This is a unique opportunity to work in an historic setting that honours service to the Nation by providing both sheltered accommodation and full nursing care to over 300 In-Pensioners.

As Deputy Care Home Manager, you will play a vital leadership role in the day-to-day management of clinical services across the Infirmary and our domiciliary care provision. You will work closely with the Registered Manager, providing visible leadership, ensuring safe staffing, and supporting clinical governance and quality assurance. Your ability to manage performance, investigate incidents, and foster a culture of continuous improvement will be key to maintaining our high standards of care.

This role also involves active engagement with families, volunteers, and external stakeholders, contributing to the warm and inclusive atmosphere that defines life at the Royal Hospital Chelsea. You will be part of the on-call rota and support internal and external inspections, always striving to uphold our commitment to outstanding care.

We are looking for a Registered Nurse with a current NMC PIN, a strong background in elderly care, and proven experience in clinical leadership. You should have a deep understanding of regulatory compliance, particularly the CQC Key Lines of Enquiry, and be confident in managing teams and driving quality improvement.

At the Royal Hospital Chelsea, we live by our values: nurturing belonging, respecting individuals, encouraging pride, and enjoying life. If you share these values and are ready to make a meaningful impact in a truly special environment, we would love to hear from you.

This is a full time role working an average of 41 hours per week with occasional evening or weekend work required (time off in lieu provided). We are reviewing applications on a rolling basis, so early submission is strongly encouraged.

Apply now to be part of a legacy of care, compassion, and comradeship.
