Group Manager – Essex County Fire and Rescue Service

Contract: Grey Book terms and conditions both permanent and temporary contracts available
Salary: Group Manager B* (£64,013.00 pa)
+20% flexi duty rota payment, subject to level of incident command verification, and level of cover required
Location: Service Headquarters, Kelvedon Park
Reporting to: Area Manager/Assistant Director

– Group Manager Innovation and Change – permanent position
– Group Manager Protection – permanent position
– Group Manager Head of Resourcing – Temporary position 6 months
– Group Manager Service Delivery – Temporary position 6 months
– Group Manager Head of Organisational Assurance- Temporary position 6 months

Some of the roles are fixed-term opportunities. If these roles are made permanent, any extension or permanent position may be offered to the successful applicant without the requirement for any further recruitment process.

Eligibility Criteria
– Evidence of competency working on flexi rota at Station Manager level for a minimum of 12 months.
– Hold Incident Command Level 2.
– Be operationally competent, including completion of all required assessments and driving courses.
– Have a valid FiTech score of 37 ml/kg/min or above
– Hold an in-date Occupational Health Assessment.
– Be free from any live disciplinary or performance warnings.
