The Royal Court Theatre has an exciting opportunity for someone to join the team as a Deputy Front of House Manager.
The Front of House team, made up of Duty House Managers, Ushers, Box Office & Stage Door staff, is the public face of the theatre, welcoming the audience and delivering excellent customer service, while ensuring that health & safety and licensing regulations are upheld.
The Deputy Front of House Manager is a new and vital role at the Royal Court. It will shape and deliver the smooth and efficient running of the Royal Court’s Front of House operations by duty managing performances, coordinating administrative tasks, and ensuring every visitor enjoys an outstanding and welcoming audience experience. This role plays a key part in upholding the theatre’s excellent customer service and operations, and a safe, enjoyable environment for all.
The successful candidate will be/have:
- Previous experience of working as a Duty Manager, Supervisor or equivalent front of house role in a similar sized venue or context:This will include knowledge of health and safety regulations, accessibility, and the day to day running of a theatre venue.
- Leadership and Team Coordination Skills:Work well both independently and as part of a team, confident supervising and motivating other members of staff, demonstrating a proactive and dynamic approach to duties.
- Customer-Centric and Approachable:Dedicated to providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for all visitors, and adept at handling inquiries and complaints with professionalism and care.
- Detail-Oriented and Organised:Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond calmly and effectively under pressure.
