SUMMARY OF THE ROLEThis role is for an afternoon driver to provide regular driving duties astimetabled. The successful candidate will have a friendly and approachablemanner and be willing to work flexibly to meet the needs of the School’sschedule.In taking responsibility for the Schools’ vehicles, you will ensure their generalupkeep and arrange regular servicing. Daily duties will include driving to/fromlocal stations, chaperoning contractors, providing general porterageassistance and classroom/studio set up. MAIN DUTIESPERSON SPECIFICATIONDriving:Transport staff, students and visitors to and from the School followingnecessary road safety laws and precautions Complete daily log sheets of journeys Manage vehicles including general upkeep, cleaning, and arranging regularservicing Site Support (where applicable):Prepare classrooms and studios according to timetable requirements Chaperone contractors and guests when required Assist with recycling and waste management Provide assistance to the wider Operations teamsAny other duties that may reasonably be requested by your Line Managerand that fall within the grade and scope of the post.ESSENTIAL CRITERIAFull, manual, clean driving license with D1 categoryAble to work to a schedule with minimum supervision using own initiative Reliable and trustworthy, acting with integrity and professionalism at alltimes Proactive and flexible approach to work and hours, willing to support allaspects of school life Confident and capable of manual handling / heavy liftingFriendly and approachable manner Empathy with and commitment to the aims and ethos of the SchoolDESIRABLE CRITERIAInterest in or appreciation of ballet / the arts Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs or willing to attendtraining. We are committed to creating an environment where all our employees feel part ofour team and can flourish, regardless of their background.
