LOCATION: Robins High Performance Centre, BS8 3TN
CONTRACT: Full Time, Permanent
SALARY: Up to £60,000 per annum, depending on experience
About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Performance Services to lead the delivery of high-quality multidisciplinary services that maximise player health, wellbeing, and performance. You will oversee medical, S&C, physiotherapy, nutrition, psychology, and wellbeing provision, ensuring an integrated approach that equips players to perform at the highest level.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the club’s performance support team across multiple disciplines
- Ensure alignment with the club’s strategy and coaching philosophy
- Oversee player performance support plans, rehabilitation, and monitoring processes
- Manage departmental budgets, resourcing, and performance measures Drive innovation, research, and evidence-based practice across all areas of performance support
- Contribute to player recruitment and retention decisions using performance data and insights
- Promote an inclusive, safe, and player-centred culture across the performance support function
About You
- Significant experience leading multidisciplinary teams in elite sport (ideally women’s football)
- Strong understanding of sports science, medicine, injury management, and performance environments
- Skilled in managing people, processes, and budgets within high-performance settings
- Excellent interpersonal and strategic leadership skills, able to build strong relationships with coaches, staff, and players
- Resilient, adaptable, and motivated to play a key role in the growth of women’s football
Qualifications / Requirements:
Essential
- Relevant professional accreditation (e.g., UKSCA, BASES, CSP, HCPC, GMC, or equivalent)
- Master’s degree in Sports Science or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Safeguarding and DBS clearance
Desirable
- Coaching & mentoring qualification (e.g., EMCC)
- Experience with NGB audits, governance, and performance technology systems
- In-depth knowledge of the women’s game and player pathways
