The role is 1.0 FTE and is for an initial fixed term until 31st March 2027, however, it may be extended subject to future funding.
Hours
37.5 hours (30 hours during a 4-day working week)
Applicants will be interested to know that Rise is currently operating a 4-day working week with full time employees gifted one day off per week (Fridays) but still paid a full-time salary.
Location / Flexible Working
This role will be based within a community setting in Northumberland and North Tyneside, linked to the areas within which the role is working. You are also welcome to access the Rise offices in either North Tyneside or County Durham.
We are open to talking about flexible working options and could consider options as diverse as job sharing and annualised hours, such as term-time only.
Job summary
The Place Coordinator role will enhance and support Rise’s Place Universal Offer work in conjunction with partners including North Tyneside Council, Northumberland County Council, Health, Education and the VCFSE sector.
Based within the community the role holder will engage with residents and work with the VCFSE sector in North Tyneside (with a particular focus on Chirton, Percy Main, New York and Willington Quay) and Northumberland (with a particular focus on Ashington Hirst, Berwick Town, Blyth Cowpen, Blyth Isabella, Morpeth Central & East and Newbiggin) to take a strength based, community centred approach to understanding and improving health and wellbeing outcomes.
The central focus of the role requires strong collaboration with local stakeholders and Communities in North Tyneside and Northumberland to understand the systemic barriers to physical activity. The role will focus on working with partners to gather insight which will help shape future decision making and influence system change.
The role holder will need to fully embed themselves within the community, developing a strong relationship with statutory partners, the VCFSE sector and other stakeholders to fully understand the inequalities the communities of North Tyneside and Northumberland face.
