This is a new and exciting role set up to establish and deliver a dedicated intervention service for young people affected by violence within Milton Keynes. The role has responsibility for the service delivery of mentoring services in key settings in the community, reaching individuals from all protected characteristics. A large part of the service will be run with volunteers and this role will recruit, train and provide structured support delivered with respect and compassion; ensuring that every volunteer has what they need to provide young people with meaningful support and mentorship.
To be successful in this role you will have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the physical, social and emotional needs of young people and will be able to demonstrate how you use this to positively impact the lives of young people using an asset-based and person-centered approach. You will also be a good team player, be able to build strong relationships both internally and externally and particularly with young people. You will have high quality organisational and administrative skills and be able to manage a detailed and complex workload.
A degree level qualification in social work / youth work would be an advantage.

- Salary £28,000 – £30,000 depending on experience
