Young Adults Pastor Job Description Purpose To oversee the discipleship, integration, and pastoral care of students and young adults within Heart Church, ensuring effective pathways into fellowship, service, leadership, and spiritual growth within the wider church context. Key Tasks and Responsibilities 1. Oversee discipleship pathways for young adults, ensuring access to fellowship, service opportunities, pastoral support, and instruction within wider church contexts and formats. 2. Develop and oversee specific age/life stage teaching, fellowship and spiritual development opportunities 3. Plan and deliver welcome and integration events for students, particularly during the autumn freshers season. 4. Provide pastoral support for students and young adults in collaboration with other members of the Pastoral Team. 5. Support the development and effectiveness of Life Groups, particularly student and young adult groups. 6. Build and maintain relationships with Christian Unions, student organisations, and churches in Nottingham and beyond. 7. Recruit, develop, and coach Young Adult team members and leaders, empowering them for ministry and leadership. 8. Contribute to effective communication and engagement for Heart Church Young Adults, including by working with social media and Connect Team. 9. Contribute to the wider ministry of Heart Church, including Sunday services, discipleship initiatives, and strategy for the 18–30s age range.
