Project Lead – Splinters Wood Workshop
Location: Brandon Trust, Elm Tree Farm
Hours: 22.5 per week (Wednesday, Thursday & Friday) with Occasional weekends for events/markets
Contract: Permanent
Are you passionate about creativity, inclusion, and community impact? Brandon Trust is looking for a dynamic and driven Project Lead to co-run our Splinters Wood Workshop — a thriving social enterprise that empowers individuals with learning disabilities and autism through meaningful employment and skill-building.
About the Role
As Project Lead, you’ll oversee the day-to-day and strategic operations of Splinters, ensuring it remains a high-performing, inclusive, and commercially successful enterprise. You’ll lead a diverse team of staff, volunteers, and supported employees, driving income generation, community engagement, and personal development.
Key Responsibilities

Lead commercial performance, sales, and product development

Manage stock, suppliers, and workshop resources

Create inclusive roles and coach supported employees and co-farmers

Deliver person-centred support and conduct regular reviews

Build strong community and stakeholder relationships

Promote the enterprise through social media and local outreach

Ensure health & safety compliance across all workshop activities
What We’re Looking For

Experience in woodwork, customer service, and team leadership
-
A flexible, resilient, and inclusive approach to work

Strong communication and coaching skills

Confidence working independently and managing diverse teams

A full clean driving licence and access to own transport
Desirable Qualifications

Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care or Joinery

UK manual driving licence
