Through residential visits to our working farms, we provide a nurturing environment where young people can reflect, build confidence, and develop the resilience they need to overcome personal challenges. Position Summary Jamie’s Farm is seeking a Weekend Farmer to support with livestock checks and feeding across both our Hill House and neighbouring Lower Shockerwick farms. You’ll work independently and play a key role in maintaining our high standards and contributing to a progressive farming business focused on improving systems and developing regenerative farming practices. Main responsibilities: • Daily livestock checks to ensure the health and welfare of cattle, sheep, pigs, horses, and hens • Feeding hay, silage, and concentrates to livestock • Administering treatments as required • Driving farm vehicles to efficiently carry out tasks Experience & Skills: • Previous farming experience (essential) • Driving licence (essential) • Highly reliable and responsible, with an ability to work flexibly, independently and overcome problems proactively • Good communication skills to feedback any issues to the farming team Work pattern & benefits: • Self-employed, flexible part-time hours – equivalent to 4 days per month over weekends • £12.50-£15.00 per hour dependent on experience • A beautiful working environment • Opportunity to be part of a progressive farming business focused on improving systems and developing regenerative farming practices Apply now: Please contact us for further information or apply with an email/letter explaining why you might be suited to the role to recruitment@jamiesfarm.org.uk.
