About Project ImpACT
Project ImpACT inspires, educates, and empowers teens to create meaningful change in their communities through volunteering and social action, shaping the next generation of active young leaders.
Role Overview
Project ImpACT is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Youth Volunteering Coordinator to engage and inspire Jewish teenagers in social action. This exciting role will expanding our vision of empowering young people to contribute meaningfully to their communities.
Key Details
- Hours: Part-time (including various Sundays during school term time, some evening sessions and school events).
- Location: Hybrid working with attendance at sessions and events in NW London and other areas as required.
- Annual Leave: 5.6 weeks (pro-rata), inclusive of public holidays. The remainder of holidays to be taken during school holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver innovative youth volunteering programmes.
- Engage and inspire teenagers across schools and youth groups.
- Build and maintain relationships with charities, schools and community organisations.
- Organise large-scale volunteering events and social impact initiatives.
- Support communication efforts, including social media content and outreach.
- Liaise, train and manage junior staff.
- Participate in team meetings, training and strategy sessions.
- Ensure all activities adhere to relevant policies, including Safeguarding, GDPR, and Health and Safety.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Relevant experience working with youth, developing and leading programmes.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach.
- Passionate about youth empowerment and social action.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter).
Desirable:
- Experience in event planning and logistics for youth or community programmes.
- A background in education, mentoring, or youth work.
- Ability to create engaging digital and print marketing materials.
- Experience with communications and graphic design tools.
- Understanding of impact measurement and reporting for social programmes.
- Familiarity with the UK Jewish community and charity sector.
Training and support will be provided as needed.
