Artistic Team Post: Salary: Contract: Contemporary Dance Teacher £39.02 per hour Evenings (Tuesday and Wednesdays) Weekends (predominantly Saturday’s) 1 year fixed-term contract Reporting to: Director of Dance Training Working closely with: Principal, Artistic Director, Recreational Dance Manager, members of the Artistic Team. Hours: Purpose of Job: Up to 5 Hours - The majority of hours between 5:30pm – 8:30pm on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings To impart a solid knowledge of Contemporary technique and performance to students. To nurture each student to maximise his/her dance potential. To support colleagues and work whole-heartedly for the good of the School. To keep abreast of educational and dance related developments. Accountabilities: 1. To work within the Recreational Dance Artistic Team constructively and effectively. 2. To be an excellent classroom practitioner 3. To keep up to date with key national and local initiatives impacting on subject delivery. 4. To monitor the progress of pupils according to the current policies. 5. To contribute to School Self-Review & the School Development Plan as required. 6. To provide key contributions to faculty meetings as required. 7. To be prepared to work with colleagues within the faculty and in other faculty areas to meet whole school objectives. 8. To support the development of the whole school culture and ethos of the ‘Elmhurst Way’ with colleagues and students. 9. To adhere to the Elmhurst Way and the Professional Code of Conduct at all times. 10. To be prepared to undertake such other tasks, as the Director of Dance Training, Principal or Artistic Director may reasonably deem necessary. 11. To write short annual reports for students 1.
