Do you want your organisation and people skills to make a real difference every day?

If you’re looking for a role with purpose — one where your calm, professional approach helps support learners, families and staff — then we’d love to hear from you.

About St Elizabeth’s Centre

Set within 60 acres of beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, St Elizabeth’s is a national charity providing specialist education, care and health support for children, young people and adults with epilepsy and other complex needs.

Our mission is simple: to help everyone we support Live Life to the Full.
We live our values — Aspirational, Collaborative, Joyful and Compassionate — in everything we do.

About the Role

As our Office Manager for the Adult Learning, you’ll be at the heart of our busy education environment, ensuring the office runs smoothly and efficiently while providing high-quality support to the Director of Adult Learning and departmental deputies.

You’ll lead the day-to-day administrative function, support with coordination of meetings and communication, maintain accurate records and help ensure that students, families, staff and visitors all receive a warm, professional service.

This is a great opportunity for someone organised, friendly and confident — a real team player who thrives in a varied role where no two days are the same.

What you’ll do

  • Manage the day-to-day running of the service offices
  • Provide PA-style support to the Director of Adult Learning and Deputy Heads
  • Act as the main point of contact for visitors, families and professionals
  • Coordinate diaries, meetings and minute-taking
  • Keep records, files and information systems accurate and organised
  • Support with communication across the departments team
  • Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information at all times
  • Lead and support the small administrative team

About You

You’ll be someone who is:

  • Highly organised, calm and able to manage a busy workload
  • A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Experienced in administration within a busy office
  • Comfortable using IT systems and Microsoft Office
  • Able to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
  • Positive, supportive and aligned with our values

Experience in an education, care or health setting is helpful — but not essential. Your attitude, professionalism and approach will be what really stands out.

Why work for St Elizabeth’s?

  • Generous annual leave allowance
  • Excellent training and development opportunities
  • Recommend-a-Friend bonus of up to £500 (T&Cs apply)
  • Free on-site parking and discounted meals in our café
  • Beautiful working environment and a welcoming, supportive culture
