The successful candidate will be an outstanding classroom practitioner and will work closely withexisting classteachers. It will be necessary to work co-operatively and constructively as a member of ourwell-motivated and professional team.  The teacher should be proficient with the use of IT. Our classrooms are fitted with SMART boardswhich are fully interactive, and each pupil has her own iPad which is utilised as a learning tool and isembedded into our daily routines.  The supply teacher is required to teach according to the school policies and schemes of work. The staff maintain a very professional outlook and with this in mind, they are in their classrooms by8.20am to welcome girls and their parents. A smart appearance and an organised classroom areessential.  Staff are expected to respond to pupils’ individual learning needs according to school assessmentand recording policies.  Most often, planning will be in place for cover lessons but there may be occasions when the supplyteacher may need to offer their own content.In addition:You will be expected to deliver the high-quality pastoral care for each individual pupil that isestablished within the school and maintain the caring ethos. The School is proactive in maintaininga supportive, cohesive community for everyone. Junior parents are immensely supportive in every way, attending school events in large numbersand supporting sports, music and drama activities. The school adopts a very open, friendlyapproach to parents and it is important that the teacher is both approachable and understandingat all times.  The supply teacher may be asked to cover an after-school duty if the absent teacher is on the rota.
