JOB DESCRIPTION Training Officer Job Title: Report To: Head of Communications and Capacity Building Job type: Permanent Salary: £24,370 Hours: Part time - 18 hours a week Job Summary: The Training Officer will oversee the administration of SCVS training activities, managing training programmes, schedules, and attendee records. This role will also involve liaising with trainers across the (from external) organisations. Core Responsibilities: General • Collaborate with the Head of Communications and Capacity Building to design a relevant and effective training programme for the voluntary sector in Slough and RBWM. • Manage the SCVS training calendar and coordinate with trainers. • Build and maintain a contact database to support the delivery of the training programme. • Provide administrative support and coordination for all training activities. • Assist the Communications and Information team in promoting the training programme as required. Operational • Monitor and evaluate training sessions, maintaining records of polls, surveys, and case studies for funders. • Track attendance for all training sessions. • Update Eventbrite for upcoming training. • Send links to registered participants for online sessions. • Build and maintain a contact database for future training and promotions. • Send text/WhatsApp reminders for upcoming training sessions. • Support trainers during all sessions (online - managing polls, waiting rooms, and breakout rooms. In person- room preparation and refreshments) • Ensure smooth delivery of high-quality training. • Update the volunteer passport database and issue training certificates. • Liaise with trainers to ensure content is delivered as planned. People • Foster professional relationships with local and regional trainers to support training programme delivery. • Attend regular team meetings, providing updates to the SCVS team. • Participate in one-on-one meetings and annual performance reviews with your line manager. • Engage in relevant training, as agreed with your line manager, to enhance and update your knowledge and skills.
