  • Job Summary
  • The role of the Digital Content Officer is to deliver digital activities and experiences as part of the major redevelopment of the National Slate Museum. You will plan, commission and produce content for the National Slate Museum’ online and on-site audiences including web presence, mobile applications, and on-site experiences. You will be key to training and facilitating others in the production of content for our digital platforms.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate the production of content for use on the Museum’s digital platforms, both online on on-site.
    • Create and deliver small projects within an agile and fast-moving environment ensuring ongoing testing and iteration of product development.
    • Engage with local and online communities to encourage participation with the National Slate Museum and its collections
    • Liaise and manage workflows with third parties who we may commission to produce digital products on our behalf.
    • Design user journeys as a response to user behaviour and need, convey it to other staff and use it to inform future digital developments.
    • Train staff to create and update digital content to standards set by the Digital Media Department.
    • Ensure that digital experiences align to the wider LleCHI LleNI Digital Strategy for the Slate Landscape of Northwest Wales World Heritage Site.
    • An understanding of how the organisation can be more efficient with internal processes in order to save money and increase the commercial success of Amgueddfa Cymru
    • Support the Digital team on delivery of the departments key responsibilities and projects.
    • Assist in the implementation of the Digital Data and Technology Strategy.
