Right now, we are looking for a Mental Health Pool Worker to play a pivotal role in our Mental Health Crisis Alternatives department in Camden.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

The role involves providing compassionate, patient, and professional support to individuals in crisis, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport and manage sensitive conversations effectively. It requires experience in crisis management, de-escalation, and facilitating engaging activities to support clients' wellbeing, particularly within mental health settings and with individuals on the autism spectrum. The position demands a thorough understanding of safeguarding procedures, excellent organizational and time-management abilities, and the capacity to maintain accurate documentation. The successful candidate will work both independently and collaboratively, contributing to a supportive, inclusive, and non-judgmental environment that upholds equality and diversity in care.

We are seeking a compassionate and confident individual with strong interpersonal skills to create a supportive environment for clients experiencing mental health crises. You will remain calm and professional during challenging situations, demonstrating excellent telephone etiquette and crisis management skills, including de-escalation techniques. The role involves leading and facilitating activities that promote well-being and relaxation, ensuring clients feel engaged and supported throughout their stay. Experience or knowledge in mental health, particularly supporting individuals on the autism spectrum, is highly desirable. You should be empathetic, patient, and committed to delivering non-judgmental care that respects diversity and promotes equality. Strong communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively within a team, and a proactive approach to supporting vulnerable individuals are essential. When will I be working?

This a a pool staff vacancy, so the work is ad hoc. Shifts will be offered to you through the portal, and you will be able to apply for shifts you are available for.
