QUALIFICATIONS Good general level of educational qualifications e.g. GCSEs, A levels. Relevant degree. Safe Lives IDVA Qualification or equivalent EXPERIENCE Minimum of two years experience of direct work with adults affected by domestic violence. Experience of working with adults with diverse needs. Experience of multi-agency and partnership working with other statutory and third sector agencies. Experience of undertaking risk assessments of service users and delivering a service in keeping with the result. Experience of undertaking safety planning with service users and securing practical safety measures. Experience of advocating on behalf of service users. Experience of court work. PRACTICAL AND INTELLECTUAL SKILLS (INCLUDING ANY SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE) Knowledge and understanding of how domestic abuse impacts on adults and children. Knowledge of housing, civil, criminal and other relevant legislation with regard to domestic abuse. Knowledge of the legal framework relating to safeguarding both children and vulnerable adults. Working knowledge of Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARACs) and Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA).
