Vision Atlas Development Manager Role Profile Job title Vision Atlas Development Manager Location Sydney or Melbourne, Australia. Home based with some travel required. Responsible to Head of Data of Evidence Salary Contract AUD $75,000.00 – $90,000.0 per annum, dependant on experience Full time. Fixed term contract, up to 2 years. Job Purpose The IAPB Vision Atlas is a global evidence hub for eye health, used by the eye health sector as a decision-making tool. IAPB is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Vision Atlas Development Manager to strengthen project management across our portfolio and lead new projects. In this role, you will build project management capacity and coordinate delivery of the data and evidence programme that powers our 2030 In Sight sector strategy. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to shape the next phase of the Vision Atlas and contribute to global eye health. Role and Responsibilities You will be responsible for helping us further develop the Vision Atlas and meet the goals of the 2030 In Sight for the global eye health sector. Specifically: 1. Manage the new development project ‘Implementation Mapping’: • Working with the Knowledge Team and the Implementation Mapping Consultant, you will project manage development of activity-mapping capabilities in the Vision Atlas to track and visualise initiatives reducing avoidable sight loss. • Define and monitor milestones/budget, coordinate stakeholders and data providers, and manage pilot and phased rollout. 2. Vision Atlas programme management: • Working with the Knowledge Team, you will project manage the development and delivery of new dashboards that ensure open, user- friendly access to targeted visualisations, stories, and actionable evidence. • Coordinate consultation and thought leadership activities. Lead on event presentations, and digital dissemination. 3. Communications and events: • Working with the Knowledge Team, the Communications team and external consultants, you will coordinate development of a clear Vision Atlas communications strategy that drives engagement. • Produce monitoring and evaluation reports on user engagement, growth, and feedback. 4. Leadership and management: • Manage, lead and coach team members and support the development and well-being of colleagues. Knowledge and Experience The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management, data platforms, global eye health and a passion for leveraging data to drive positive impact. Skills Required • Excellent project management: Proven programme/project manager who plans rigorously, coordinates diverse stakeholders & partners, manages risk and budgets, and delivers data-driven products that meet users needs. • Data & research focussed: Able to work with multiple data sources and methodologies, strong problem-solving skills. • Technically savvy: strong with modern project management software, and comfortable configuring workflows, dashboards, and templates. • Experience in research design, data management, collaboration & publication. • Positive, solution-oriented collaborative team player. • Ability to work closely with a wide range of stakeholders as part of the team. • Able to take initiative and work independently to deliver key activities. • Excellent oral, written and digital communication skills. Capable of engaging with subject experts. • Ability to remote work in a multicultural, global team environment • Willingness to travel, facilitate workshops and present. Education & Related Experience: • A post graduate degree from a reputable university in a health & development related field. • A minimum of five years of experience of working in global eye health and development in a related role. • Strong data quality and management.
