Elmbridge Phoenix Swimming Club in Surrey is looking for an experienced Head Coach to lead and develop the Club.
We are a successful competitive swimming club with a busy Development programme, competitive squad, training squad and a performance programme (with swimmers of County, Regional and National levels). This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven leader who can inspire swimmers of all abilities.
Working Hours: Part Time, 24 hours a week
Coaching Qualifications and Experience :
- Mandatory Qualification: Minimum of Swim England Swimming Coach Certificate/ASA Level 2 Coaching Award
- Proven coaching experience: experience coaching swimmers at club level and above.
- Track record of development: Demonstrable experience in developing swimmers through competitive levels: County, Regional and National competitions, with a focus on performance swimming and talent progression.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations :
- Set the vision for the Club and performance targets
- Design and deliver annual training plans and seasonal cycles for all squads and individual swimmers, as appropriate
- Coaching hours for the Performance 1 squad plus Club admin hours. (12 coaching and 12 admin per week, totalling 24 hours per week)
- Organise, attend and report on all necessary competitions, including a minimum of two full-day meets per month (where applicable), County, Regional and National meets.
- Lead, mentor and develop the coaching team and oversee performance
- Ensure the Coaching team are in compliance with professional qualifications, including DBS, safeguarding and the Swim England online management system.
- Play a pivotal role in developing the reputation and long-term success of the Club.
