Vacancy: Multiple Governors particularly Business, Finance, HR and Legal

Location: Alderley Edge, Cheshire

Description: Alderley  Edge  School  for  Girls  is  looking  to  recruit  three  new
Governors and is keen to hear from individuals who are interested in helping to guide
the strategic direction of the school.

individual characters. Each girl is nurtured and supported in small classes and it is our
priority that each girl reaches her individual potential and becomes the best she can

AESG is a community. All our girls, from those in Nursery at the age of two, through

The  school  is  a  registered  charity  and  company  limited  by  guarantee;  therefore,
Governors are also Trustees of the charity and Directors of the company.   The Board

of  Governors  currently  comprises  7  Governors  with  a  range  of  backgrounds  and
professional experience.  The Governing Body meets on a monthly basis.

We  would  be  particularly  interested  to  hear  from  you  if  you  have  a  background  in
Accounting/Finance,  Business,  HR  or  Law.  No  previous  governing  experience  is
necessary and we would welcome expressions of interest in anyone interested in the
education of young people.

All  Governor  roles  are  voluntary  and  subject  to  enhanced  DBS  and  full  clearance
checks.
