Hours:         Full-time 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 16:00

About Us:

Combat Stress is the UK’s leading mental health charity for veterans. For over a century we’ve been helping former service personnel deal with issues like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression. Today we provide specialist treatment and support for veterans from every service and conflict, focusing on those with complex mental health issues related to their military service. We provide a range of community, outpatient and residential mental health services to veterans with complex mental health problems. We provide services in-person, and via phone and online.

About the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Head of Services - Scotland & N. Ireland with Combat Stress, the leading veterans mental health charity in the UK

Reporting to the Head of Services for Scotland & N. Ireland, the postholder will be based in our Glasgow hub / hybrid, with a lead role in the operational management of our Glasgow and Belfast hubs, community, and digital services across the countries.

This is a unique role spanning both strategic and operational practice and ensuring services are not only of the highest quality but that they work collaboratively with partners and clearly meet the needs of veterans.

The role will lead on operational delivery, service improvement, performance management and quality assurance, and will work closely with veterans and colleagues in order to do so.

Applicants should have a current healthcare professional registration with an in-depth professional knowledge of mental health care and the national health and social care context. Significant management experience is needed and an understanding of staff management and engagement, performance management and budgetary control.

This role is subject to a DBS / PVG check.
