The purpose of the SCA is to assess a GP Registrar’s ability to integrate and apply skills appropriate for general practice. It is a standardised clinical OSCE delivered in the GP Registrars’ practice under invigilated conditions. The Examinations Administrator will support the Examinations Team with the MRCGP candidate journey, from reservations and bookings for the exam through the preparation of and delivery of the AKT and SCA live examinations to release of results.
This vacant role will join the SCA Cases Team and will support the work of the SCA Cases Manager in helping to prepare case palettes and materials selected for SCA examinations, quality assurance of all case materials and ensuring the case bank is kept up to date, organised and secure. They will also be involved in producing briefing packs for candidates, examiners and role-players, ensuring accuracy of these documents and that they are accessible to the relevant stakeholders. The successful candidate will also contribute to the live delivery of examinations throughout the year (9 months out of 12), carrying out duties assigned by the Examination Management Team. This will require some out of hours work
The successful candidate for this role will have experience in administration and documenting processes. They should be confident in using electronic administrative applications and an excellent communicator. They should be highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and able to complete multiple competing tasks and processes efficiently and to a high level of quality in a high profile, high stakes and fast-paced environment.
