Corporate Partnerships Manager Location: The Hive, Wirral Youth Zone Hours: 40 hours per week Pay: £35,000 dependant on experience Reporting to: Head of Fundraising Contract: Permanent after completion of 6-month probation About Us The Hive, Wirral Youth Zone, is a purpose-built facility for young people aged 8-19, or age 25 for anyone with a disability. Alongside providing young people with access to a range of activities under youth work provision, The Hive ensures young people have somewhere to go, something to do, and someone to talk to. The Hive is centrally located and dedicated to raising aspirations and changing the lives of young people, giving them ‘Somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to’. Operating 6 days a week including Sundays and during school holidays, the Youth Zone’s purpose is to help young people grow to be happy, healthy, and successful adults. The state-of-the-art £6 million building provides young people with access to a range of activities, offering them the opportunity to try new things, meet new friends and gain support from friendly, warm, and positive staff and volunteers. The facilities include a 3G pitch, a gym, sports hall and recreation area, and dance, arts, music, and media suites. The Role An exciting new opportunity has arisen within our small but growing fundraising team for a dynamic Corporate Partnerships Manager to support the growth of our developing corporate partnerships portfolio. We are investing in a dedicated role to cultivate and secure long-term partnerships with Wirral and Liverpool City Region businesses. This role will play a pivotal role in The Hive Youth Zone’s Fundraising Team, developing our fundraising capabilities and growing this income stream. The primary purpose is to generate unrestricted income, by securing new corporate partnerships by aligning the charity with ESG agendas, submitting formal applications for high value charity of the year opportunities and tapping into the growing market of corporate foundations The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Fundraising & Communications and the Philanthropy Manager to further develop our strategic approach to corporate fundraising, driving growth, and expanding our donor base. We are looking for a results-oriented individual with a proven track record in corporate fundraising or business development to build a sustainable pipeline of corporate supporters and generate substantial income. Main duties and responsibilities: • Proactively identify, research, and cultivate a robust pipeline of potential corporate partners, working towards an annual target. Specifics for each giving level and KPIs around donor meetings, asks etc will be set annually, with a view to year-on-year growth. • Proactively identify and engage companies not currently known to The Hive, particularly on the Wirral rather than Liverpool. • Secure support through a combination of corporate giving, CSR partnerships, and employee volunteering, aligned with the ESG agendas of businesses. • Demonstrate impact and value through clear metrics and case studies • Deliver outstanding account management to cultivate and grow agreed existing corporate relationships, focusing on retention, increased engagement, and uplift. This will include developing tailored proposals and presentations to secure new patrons, partners, sponsorships, and in-kind donations. • Utilise Salesforce CRM to effectively manage the cultivation and stewardship journey of the corporate donor pipeline, ensuring timely follow-ups and tracking of progress. • Work with the wider fundraising and delivery teams to deliver engaging stewardship and prospecting events that foster strong relationships with corporate partners. • Comply with all policies and procedures regarding safeguarding, fundraising regulation, codes of conduct, health and safety, and equality and diversity and ensure we comply with GDPR standards. • Be an active member of the team, carrying out any other reasonable duties as requested by the management team, and operating in line with the values and principles of the Youth Zone. • Be a role model for young people and present a positive “can do” attitude. • Take personal responsibility for own actions. • Commit to a culture of continuous improvement. • To assist with any promotional activities and visits that take place at the Youth Zone. What does success look like? • • This role will focus on new companies not yet known to The Hive, particularly those based locally and those with emerging ESG agendas. Personal Specification submitting high quality Selection Criteria Experience The ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with a range of key stakeholders Significant experience of working within a corporate fundraising or sales environment funding Experience of developing and applications/business proposals securing with proven track record of securing 5 figure gifts Proven track record of successfully building a new business pipeline Experience of gathering, understanding and presenting complex information and data in a clear, concise way Ability to make face-to-face approaches for funding from corporates and negotiate the ask Track record of cultivating external relationships with funders/partners and key stakeholders via verbal and written methods of communication The ability to confidently network and be an ambassador for our charity. Proficiency in utilising social media and online platforms to connect with potential partners and build a professional network. Proven ability to influence and persuade decision-makers to support. A sound understanding of financial goals, budgeting, and ROI analysis. Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously and meet deadlines. Proficiency in using CRM software to manage relationships and track progress.
