We are looking to recruit a Housing Support Worker, based at Potter’s Place, Russell Street, Gloucester, with a sense of social purpose to help improve the lives of others and make a lasting difference in the lives of adults and children throughout the County of Gloucestershire.

The role is 37.5 hours a week, working on a three-week rota basis, with one week in three working weekends.

Salary is up to £25,500 per annum, dependent on relevant skills, experience and qualifications. 

ABOUT YOU

We are inviting applications for the role of Housing Support Worker, based at Potter’s Place, Russell Street, Gloucester.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be tactful and diplomatic, apply judgement and common sense and react sensitively and with emotional intelligence when dealing with the complex or sensitive circumstances of vulnerable people.

You will have:

  • a Level 3 qualification or a desire to achieve this qualification.
  • experience of working in temporary housing, supporting homelessness and complex needs, or similar.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Housing Support Worker’s role is to work as part of a committed and capable team to provide housing related support to those who need our help, supporting them to achieve their aspirations for future housing and independent living. The Housing Support Worker also helps to maintain a safe and supportive living environment for vulnerable people and to help manage any additional support needs of residents through various engagement methods.
