Venue hire assistant – Casual Position

Pay rates are in line with National Minimum Wage.

Synopsis Of Role:
!Audacious Conferencing is looking for enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to work on our External Events where clients hire the !Audacious Church venue. We are looking for people with a history of working within the hospitality industry and ultimately, you should be able to provide an excellent overall guest experience for the client and their attendees.

Desirable knowledge and skills

  • Service oriented and excellent organisational skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to deliver warmth, charm and hospitality which will engage the guests within the venue.
  • Able to demonstrate good communication skills and have an understanding of conflict management.
  • Organised and punctual.
  • Diligent and work-proud.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer service to ensure satisfaction.
  • Answering questions and sharing additional information upon request.
  • Arranging rooms and table settings.
  • Assisting the car park team.
  • Managing tea/coffee stations, ensuring they are always tidy and stocked up.
  • Serving food and dealing with external caterers.
  • Ensuring the venue stays clean and tidy throughout the events.
  • Follow all relevant rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines.
  • Promoting the venue & church in a positive manner.

Audacious Foundation – English as a foreign language teacher (Voluntary)

Audacious Foundation is looking for an EFL Teacher to work in the Audacious School of Language to continue and expand provision of language lessons to non-native speaking adults in Greater Manchester. The role will involve teaching English language and skills to elementary, intermediate or advanced level learners in line with funding agreements held by the Foundation. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic teacher, who is qualified and experienced in teaching engaging and communicative lessons. This role is for our ESOL school on Monday evenings from 6-8pm

Desirable knowledge and skills:

  • TEFL-i status: first degree and TEFL certification (CELTA/ CertTESOL or equivalent)
  • 2 years’ experience teaching EFL post-CELTA (UK or abroad) is desirable.
  • Enthusiastic and hard working
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Works well within a team
  • Commitment to professional development and responding to student feedback
  • Excellent organisational skills & confident with IT.
  • Can adapt to the needs of the students and teach to large groups with confidence.
  • Can offer a degree of support to students with questions about work, study, further exams available and life in the UK.

  • To teach weekly classes in line with the Audacious School of Language curriculum, for either Elementary (CEFR A2), Intermediate (CEFR B1+) or Advanced (CEFR C1) level classes.
  • To adapt lessons to suit the needs of the learners, be that in level, linguistic priorities, age or motivation for learning.
  • To interact supportively and appropriately with all students, ensuring all students are welcomed and included in the School of Language community.
  • To complete associated administrative duties, including termly and weekly registration, records of work and student feedback.
  • To liaise with staff and volunteers across the relevant departments within the Audacious Foundation and !Audacious Church.

Training & Skills Coach – Voluntary Position

Synopsis Of Role:

Audacious Foundation is looking for looking for somebody to help pioneer our offer of skills based training to help beneficiaries access the workplace. The role will involve developing a support package for a wide range of learners with various needs and backgrounds, enabling them to grow in confidence and succeed in employment or volunteer opportunities.

Desirable knowledge and skills

  • Enthusiastic and hard working
  • Works well within a team
  • Experience in the training sector
  • Flexibility to develop the role according to project demands
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills & confident with IT
  • Can work well under pressure and remain calm in difficult situations
  • Understanding of community based services is desirable but not essential.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Working with our team of staff and volunteers across a range of projects to help to identify needs & develop a support package for beneficiaries (enabling them to grow in confidence and succeed in employment or volunteer opportunities).
  • Engage, mentor and support a wide range of learners with varied needs and backgrounds.
  • Creative approach to supporting learners in order to work towards their training or employment goals, whether it be skills for employment or volunteer and development opportunities.
  • Link with local services to offer the best experience to our participants.

Volunteering Opportunity

Audacious Cares is part of the Audacious Foundation and we are looking for a number of new volunteers.

We are seeking to increase our pool of car drivers to support people affected by cancer by driving them to and from appointments. This is volunteer position thought fuel costs are covered.

We are specifically looking for support in Trafford, Bolton and Tameside, as well as central Manchester.
