Flexi Supervisor – Leinster

39 hours per week – Specific Purpose Contract

Salary starting from €44,515 per annum and dependent on experience

 

Since first opening our doors in 2005, Autism Initiatives Ireland has provided specialist autism services for adults across our Residential, Respite, Day, and Community Support Services.

The successful candidate will be afforded all necessary training and development in line with the role, including a detailed induction before joining the service.

We are looking for a resilient and self-motivated person to fulfil the role of Flexi Supervisor to cover the running of our services in the absence of the Service Managers. This person will work as part of the Management team within Autism Initiatives.

Qualifications required:

  • Social Care/ Studies or Relevant 3, (or relevant qualification received outside the state recognised by NARIC equivalent to Irish level 8)rdLevel Qualification at degree level i.e.; Social Work, Psychology is essential
  • Eligible to register with CORU as a Social Care Worker

Some main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Being responsible for the completion/monitoring of administration tasks to include Rota, Payroll, Manager’s checklists, Annual leave and absence, transitions, audits and any action plans in place.
  • Support Area Manager/PIC during external/internal monitoring e.g. HIQA/HSE inspections, audits, and peer reviews to ensure high quality standards are maintained.
  • Responsible for Health and Safety processes in the services including knowledge of and review of Risk Assessments, Identification of Risk, ensuring Health and Safety processes are followed, accidents reported etc. and any safety measures identified are implemented.
  • Take responsibility for the management of the service rota to ensure safe staffing levels.

Skills/Abilities required of a Flexi Supervisor

  • At least one year’s recent experience working as a Social Care Worker supporting people with complex needs
  • Proven knowledge of current legislation and regulations relating to the Social Care Sector
  • Understanding of the needs and rights of individuals with autism
  • Places the needs of the person supported as the key focus in all activities
  • Delivers support according to the person’s PCP and care plan.
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative
  • Fluent English and excellent communication skills
  • Experience at a similar level with responsibility for supervising/managing a team
  • Full, drivers licence essential
