About Facility Development Lead

About the Role

This role will play a vital part in shaping the future of grassroots football facilities across Leicestershire and Rutland. You will:

  • Drive improvements in grass pitch quality through the Grass Pitch Maintenance Programme
  • Activate priority projects identified in Local Football Facility Plans to unlock Football Foundation investment
  • Safeguard existing football sites from planning threats and support local Playing Pitch Strategies
  • Lead on the development of Holmes Park as a flagship site for football in the county
  • Work closely with clubs, leagues, schools and local authorities to build sustainable and inclusive facilities

Your work will directly impact the opportunities available for thousands of players, coaches and volunteers, ensuring football is accessible, inclusive and thriving in every community.

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking applications from individuals who share our values of being progressive, respectful, collaborative and inclusive. The successful candidate will bring:

  • Experience in sports development (minimum two years)
  • Strong project management and partnership-building skills
  • A good understanding of safeguarding, equality and inclusion
