The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Marketing and Campaign Coordinator, to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract, who will be integral to delivering our 5 year strategy to raise awareness of hygiene poverty and ensure In Kind Direct is the thought leader on hygiene poverty within the sector. They will play a key role in planning and implementation of our new strategy, supporting the Marketing Manager, focusing on coordinating brand / partner campaigns throughout the year, supporting on larger scale integrated campaigns and being the day to day contact for our social media agency- ensuring our channels are performing well and co-creating new content ideas. Whether a period poverty campaign with Bodyform, or a learning through play event with Lego, this role will be involved in truly exciting front line activity.

The role is based out of our London Bridge office. We operate a hybrid working practice and expect the individual to be in the office for 2 days and working from home three days a week.

You will understand how to connect the purpose and priorities of our partners with those of In Kind Direct’s – You will be creative and share our vision for storytelling, finding opportunities to share the positive, hopeful stories from end users within our large network of charitable organisations.

You will understand how to identify different audiences and target communications. Crucially, you will have experience coordinating and multitasking, managing different projects with different stakeholders at any given time. You will be used to working to and upholding brand guidelines and tone of voice.

Key Responsibilities:

Partner Campaigns

Work closely with the Marketing Manager, Corporate Partner Team and relevant corporate partners to plan and execute several joint campaigns throughout the year.

  • Build strong working relationship with internal and external teams
  • Provide regular campaign updates
  • Attend relevant corporate partner meetings both virtually and in person to plan activity
  • Create campaign reports after each joint campaign to highlight impact, metrics, and learnings for presenting back to the wider team.
  • Create new webpages and blog posts to help with SEO.

Social Media and CRM

  • Work closely with the social media agency to provide briefs for social content, reviewing and signing off social content daily, and creating ad hoc social content using Canva.
  • Write briefs for user generated social content to support our storytelling objective.
  • Build and schedule monthly newsletters to our network and any ad hoc email marketing required using Dotdigital, working closely with the eCommerce Coordinator.

PR Support

  • Proof read press releases and draft spokesperson quotes for PR ahead of campaign launches.
  • Work closely with our PR agency and Partnerships and Impact Team to source and secure regional quotes and spokespeople to support PR opportunities.
  • Create engaging PowerPoint decks for the wider team to use for upcoming campaigns to garner support from our partners.

Daily and weekly tasks

  • Ensuring social media is briefed well in advance and content is signed off using Airtable planning tool.
  • Leading on partner / brand campaigns with support from the Marketing Manager
  • Supporting Marketing Manager on a wide range of activities and campaigns
  • Design ad hoc collateral like leaflets or posters for events.
  • Ensuring campaign trackers are up to date.
  • Attending internal meetings to keep team updated on wider marketing activities
  • Acting as brand guardian by reviewing marketing material on behalf of the wider organisation, to ensure tone of voice and brand language is adhered to
  • Identifying sector awards which we can apply for to help raise the charity profile
  • Day to day responsibility for data protection within the Marketing team

  • Demonstrable interest in the charity sector, corporate responsibility, social enterprise and In Kind Direct’s area of work
