Assistant Practice Leader (3443)
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Practice Leader to join our dedicated team based in Cwmfelinfach.
We are looking for someone who has a passion for developing a team of staff to deliver an excellent experience for the individuals we currently support. You will be leading a team of Support Workers, and take pride in leading the team to deliver a great range of choices and a customer experience that any person supported would want for within a health and social care environment. You have a natural talent to get the best from the team and in return, we'll do the same for you as you'll have every opportunity to take your career further to the next steps. Experience of working with people with autism and/or complex behaviours would be highly desirable.
What you will be doing?
- You will support the Practice Leader in ensuring the delivery of creative, person centred, outcome focused support to each person supported.
- Provide supervision and probation reviews for Support Workers as agreed with the Practice Leader and contribute to the identification and organisation of training and development to meet support staff needs.
- You will work in partnership with others, supporting the development of positive networks of people, and encouraging input from families, advocates, and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Ensure the service we provide complies with CIW and RISCA regulation and Local Authority Service specifications, ensuring quality systems are continually developed and reviewed.
- Participate in the on-call rota.
- Undertake qualifications such as BTEC, PBS and the PBS ABMU trainer course.
What we are looking for?
- You will be able to demonstrate experience of working in services for people with complex behaviours, learning difficulties and/or autism.
- Experience of working in a person-centred health and social care environment and have working knowledge of manual handling.
- QCF level 4 in Health and Social Care is desired (or willing to work towards).
- To have experience of using IT systems to ensure effective communication and planning.
- A full UK Driving licence is required for this role as well as the necessity to attend meetings and courses in various locations.
