Contract: Part-time, 14 hours per week
Salary: £13,250 (£33,125 FTE), plus 7% London Living pension contribution
Location: Ladbroke Grove with opportunity for flexible and remote working
Reporting to: Co-CEO
About the role
The Youth Voice Coordinator will lead the Young Ambassadors Programme, ensuring the effective engagement, development, and representation of young people. The role is focused on ensuring young people across Kensington and Chelsea are authentically heard and represented at all stages of decision-making.
You will work closely with young ambassadors, local organisations, and stakeholders to deliver impactful programmes, amplify youth voices, and foster a culture of youth empowerment in Kensington and Chelsea.

Young K&C is an exciting, dynamic cross-sector partnership, creating a community of member and partner organisations working together to support children and young people in Kensington & Chelsea
We aim to improve outcomes for local children and young people by building a thriving local voluntary sector and reducing inequality. Our approach brings together local voluntary organisations, businesses, and public sector organisations to provide targeted support for local children and young people.
What you’ll be doing
Programme Coordination
- Lead the recruitment, training and development of a diverse and representative cohort of local Young Ambassadors
- Plan and collaborate with Young Ambassadors to create a programme developing skills and experience of Young Ambassadors
- Deliver programme activities within the Young Ambassadors programme, including research projects, grants panels, service assessment and content creation
- Collaborate with Co-CEO to develop and implement a sector-wide research programme about the experience of young people within Kensington and Chelsea
- Work with wider Young K&C team to embed youth voice within services and decision making
Youth Engagement
- Empower young people to create and lead on their own projects, ensuring their voices are authentically heard and implemented upon
- Facilitate opportunities for young people to engage with decision-makers, attend events, and represent their peers
- Be the primary point of contact and support for Young Ambassadors
Sector Collaboration
- Work in partnership with local public sector bodies, including the Local Authority, NHS to share learning and insights of the experience of young people within Kensington and Chelsea
- Build relationships with local voluntary and community organisations to increase youth voice provision across Kensington and Chelsea
- Represent Young K&C at events, meetings, and forums, advocating for youth participation.
Monitoring and Reporting
- Track and evaluate the impact of the programme, gathering feedback from young people and stakeholders
- Ensure all activities are delivered in line with safeguarding policies and procedures.
Who we’re looking for
Essential
- Experience working directly with young people, particularly in an engagement, mentoring, or advocacy role.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and empower young people.
- Knowledge of youth-led decision-making processes and authentic representation.
- Proven project management skills, including planning, delivering, and evaluating programmes.
- Passionate about supporting the local voluntary sector, children and young people
- Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of cultural competency and inclusion practices
Desirable
- Knowledge of the voluntary and community sector in Kensington and Chelsea.
- Skills in social media or digital content creation to engage young audiences.
Although not essential, we strongly encourage applications who live, work or study in Kensington and Chelsea or who have existing knowledge and experience of the local area or voluntary sector.
