About the role and what you’ll need to succeed
As a Bank Support Worker you will provide care and support within My Life’s community and respite chalet teams, providing specialist care to each individual. You will have the flexibility to choose day, evening, night, and weekend shifts while making a real difference to people’s lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Living Support: This will vary depending on the individual being supported.
- Personalised care: Providing specialist care to each individual, including complex care needs, learning disabilities, autism, mental health issues and behaviours that challenge.
- Health & Well-being Monitoring: Monitoring safety, well-being, and overall happiness.
- Encourage independence: Assisting with life skills and supporting individuals in social and recreational activities tailored to their interests.
- Be a Friendly Confidant: Building genuine connections, providing companionship, encouragement, and positivity every day.
About You:
- Passionate about supporting others: You’re naturally caring and enjoy helping others feel safe, respected and empowered.
- Great Communication Skills: You can easily connect with individuals from all walks of life and communicate with both the people you support and your team.
- Adaptable & Flexible: Every day brings something different, and you’re happy to take on new challenges while ensuring the highest standards of care.
- Experienced in, or willing to learn: You may be experienced in one area of support but are willing to gain more experience, or you may not have experience but willing to learn.
