Assistant Pastor
Mirfield Evangelical Church
Mirfield Evangelical Church in Mirfield, West Yorkshire, is looking to appoint an Assistant Pastor to work alongside our Pastor and a team of volunteer leaders.
We are looking for a man who meets the biblical requirements of an elder, and who will be able to share in preaching and pastoral care, as well as giving leadership in at least one particular area of ministry (to be shaped according to the gifts and interests of the candidate, but may include e.g. evangelism, biblical counselling, or children and families' ministry).
We are able to offer a broad experience of pastoral ministry within a medium-sized church in a small-town context. We envisage the role being suitable for a man who aspires to pastor a local church in the future.
Required Skills
Some formal theological education or ministry training is desirable, alongside previous experience in Christian ministry. We will be looking for a recommendation from your current church's eldership as to your suitability for the role.
For more information, contact Dave Puttick (Pastor) for an initial conversation and to receive an application pack. We will consider individual applications as we receive them, and reserve the right to close applications before the deadline if appropriate.
