This position sits within IT’s Marketing Technology Team. The Marketing Technology Team is responsible for the enterprise supporter management platforms that support the global delivery of private sector resources, as well as the key partnerships, advocacy and influence objectives of the External Relations, department. These platforms play an important strategic role in the creation of brand, its awareness and support for fundraising and advocacy goals.
Must be able to keep New York business hours with flexibility when calling clients in Asia or Mideast.
Job Overview/Summary:
As Lead Solutions Specialist you will perform hands-on technical implementation, with a focus on delivering functional solutions to the IRC’s global fundraising staff through Salesforce. You will play a crucial role in crafting, implementing, deploying, and documenting projects that bring to bear Salesforce, interacting daily with individual fundraisers and operations staff.This role is focused on supporting and enhancing the IRC’s Salesforce environment, specifically improving the Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP). You will work closely with business partners to ensure the platform is tailored to nonprofit operations, supporter engagement, and data integrity.Drawing on technical skills, critical thinking, problem solving, and creativity, you will seek to evolve how the IRC’s global fundraising, operations and marketing technology teams use Salesforce to raise private funds. You will work with a wide range of key stakeholders and staff to translate business requirements into technical solutions, with an eye towards scalability.You’ll be dynamic, self-motivated and will have the technical savvy to inspire and provide technical edge to business users and department to meet their goals.Open to working remote from any of these countries but must be in-country.
Major Responsibilities:
Provide expert-level configuration and support within the Salesforce NPSP architecture, including donation management, households, and engagement plans.
Administer and enhance Salesforce NPSP features to meet fundraising and supporter engagement requirements.
Collaborate with fundraising and marketing users to translate nonprofit business needs into Salesforce solutions.
Act as technical lead for Salesforce support and specific enhancement projects. Serve as domain expert for solution architecture including configuration, development, integration and customization of sophisticated environments.
Support the assessment and resolution of Salesforce cases.
Cultivate a collaborative and high-performance culture within the Marketing Technology Team.
Design and develop business solutions demonstrating Salesforce declarative programming and administration, working with the regional partners to define requirements, build, test, UAT, and implement.Apply Salesforce Apex programming language, Visual Force, MS tools, API framework, 3rd party APIs and other available development tools in IRC’s NPSP environment to enhance user experience and improve both user and administrative operational efficiencyArchitect and develop new solutions using flows, fix and maintain existing global architecture.
Handle select applications, tools and plug-ins within the CRM stack, for example gearset, Dataro, ownbackup, Apsona, Pardot.Regularly use Salesforce reports and dashboards for day-to-day operational insight, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues as needed.
Provide technical/admin support and sophisticated troubleshooting for end users.
Manage the upgrade and patch process for both Salesforce and the CRM application.
Assess third party solutions as they become available on the Salesforce App Exchange and make recommendations on solutions that the IRC should pursue.
Build productive relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and business owners; communicate proactively and frequently and modify technical information as needed so that it can be understood by stakeholders to enable their decision-making.

Supports IRC’s ability to generate digital donations in excess of $80 million annually, measure and improve on data management, and deliver of segmentation and reporting for fundraising, and policy initiatives to expand the IRC’s impact, brand awareness and to generate revenue.
Job Qualifications:
Education:
Associate’s DegreePreferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering or equivalent experience.
Work Experience:
Minimum:
Significant demonstrable professional work experience with CRM and relational databases (non-profit experience a plus) and IT delivery, IT services, and professional services environments.
Demonstrable development experience with Salesforce.org, SOQL, Visual force, and other SFDC based development tools.
Experience with creating views, stored procedures and functions.Proven experience ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), including secure data management and user consent protocols.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering or equivalent experience;
Experience in implementing fundraising applications for non-profit organizations;
Experience in working effectively with an Agile delivery model;
Experience with web services or application programming interfaces is a great plus;
Experience with the use of AI enabled technologies across the Salesforce Ecosystem
Experience launching and managing donor portals, community pages, flows that coordinate marketing channels

Working Environment:This is a remote position; however, the candidate must be available to work core hours aligned with the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone.
Occasional travel may be required, including attendance at relevant Salesforce events and team gatherings.

Compensation:
Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget.
Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
