The role
We support David, a man in his thirties who lives in his own property in Throop.
David communicates verbally using short phrases. He also uses PECS cards on his communication board to plan his day and to express his needs and choices.
As part of David’s support team, you could be involved in:
- Going for a peaceful walk near Throop mill.
- Spending time in the garden where David enjoys bouncing on his trampoline or relaxing on the swing.
- Relaxing to music.
- David sees his family every week, where they go for a walk and enjoy an ice cream.
We’re always looking for new ways to help David engage with and be a part of his local community.
At the core of our service is a commitment to promoting independence. We believe a calm, empathetic, and encouraging team is key to helping David live a fulfilling and empowered life.
As a valued member of our team, your role will involve a mix of meaningful support, from helping with daily routines like food preparation, shopping, and personal care, to accompanying residents as they access the community and pursue their interests. You may also assist with administering medication to ensure their wellbeing.
