Exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic equine vet to join our friendly, supportive and progressive independent veterinary practice servicing a range of professional competition yards, polo teams and leisure clients in performance horse medicine.

Portable diagnostic & therapeutic equipment available including wireless DR systems, ultrasound scanners, video gastroscope, endoscopes, motorised dental kits, focal shockwave and therapeutic laser. We aim to perform comprehensive work ups on the yards, with referrals made for advanced diagnostics and surgery.

Although you will be supported by the other vets in the practice, candidates applying will be required to work independently and must have a good grounding in ambulatory work. You will be required to cover polo duty on a regular basis during the summer months. For this reason, the position is not suited to a recent graduate.

As well as a competitive salary, the package includes a workplace pension scheme, use of a work vehicle, a work iPhone and memberships of RCVS & BEVA. CPD actively encouraged and supported. Tomlinson Equine actively promotes a collaborative approach within the team to ensure good case continuity for our clients and knowledge transfer between our vets. Out-of-hours cover is shared amongst the team and an external provider, with time off in lieu of weekends on call. To start March/April 2026. To apply for the role please email Fiona Jacob your CV with covering letter to: fiona.jacob@tomlinsonequine.co.uk by 14th January 2026 or get in touch with any queries.
