Person Specification Job Title: Course Tutor Attributes Essential Desirable Attainments / Qualifications Degree in an animal related subject Full valid driving licence Conversant in Microsoft Office suite of applications, including Excel and Outlook Assessor qualification (CAVA/A1 Assessor) Teaching qualification (Level 3 to Level 5) IAG qualification Experience providing lessons in a classroom setting Safeguarding team experience Knowledge of Prevent First Aider Knowledge of specific learning difficulties, autism, learning styles Computer literate, including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint Previous Experience Practical teaching skills Animal handling/husbandry experience Circumstances This is a full-time role, so holiday requests must ensure adequate lesson cover from other teaching staff. All employees will attend external training courses to improve their skills – including teaching qualifications (if needed), assessor qualifications (if needed) and safeguarding / prevent. Happy to escort students on external trips and create risk assessments, and supervise / manage student behaviour on trips. Ability to attend external recruitment or enrolment events is required.
