Regional Health and Safety Advisor

Motherwell - with regional travel | Circa £45,000 + Car Allowance and Excellent Benefits

Are you looking to take the next step in your health and safety career? An exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading Utilities company as a Regional Health and Safety Advisor. The organisation has an extensive track record of successful operations in the UK, and this is an excellent opportunity to join the expanding Health and Safety Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a health and safety professional to further develop their career.

Responsibilities for the Regional Health and Safety Advisor will include:

  • Carrying out site inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and working with the team to implement these
  • Keeping up to date with SHE legislation and company policies and procedures, and ensuring that the site teams are following these
  • Liaising with site management, offering health and safety advice as necessary and attending regular health and safety meetings
  • Leading accident/incident investigations for your area

The successful Regional Health and Safety Advisor candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the wider construction industry
  • A NEBOSH, or NVQ qualification, at or above certificate level (or equivalent) and relevant membership of IOSH
  • The ability to influence and engage a range of stakeholders and comfortable working at site
  • A strong technical knowledge across relevant health and safety legislation, compliance and regulations
