Senior Producer (Young People & Community)

Applications close 10pm Sunday 18 January 2026. Successful shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an initial interview on 2 or 3 February 2026. There may be a second round of interviews on 10 February 2026. We can provide a BSL interpreter if required.

The Role

Responsible to: Creative Director

Responsible for: Assistant Producer (Young People & Community), The Agency Project Manager, Freelance Producers

This role will be part of BAC’s Producing Team. It may be expected to contribute to a range of workstreams, but the Senior Producer will primarily play a key role in overseeing the strategic development and delivery of all Young People and Community activities.

General Description

You will champion young people’s creativity across various programmes including the Beatbox Academy, Dance Academy, Young Producers Programme, Homegrown Festival, Battersea Power Station Choir, community partnerships, and The Agency.

As Senior Producer, you will develop an effective strategy that builds on these successful initiatives and aligns with BAC’s vision and its core ambitions of Inclusivity, Creative Freedom, and Internationalism.

As part of the next phase of our strategy, we aim to:

  • Create more opportunities for young people at the academies to showcase their talent across the city and establish a new Digital Academy;

  • Redesign the Young Producers Programme aligned with BAC’s new partnership with LIFT (London International Festival of Theatre);

  • Fundraise for and build up a commissioning programme to support young people in developing their creative practice after graduating from our current programmes;

  • Fundraise for and establish a new capacity building programme to strengthen the work of our Community Partners.

In this role, you will cultivate strong relationships with creative partners, develop new collaborations for young people to connect both locally and internationally, and provide tailored support for community partners.

Working closely with young creatives and partners, you will use your established producing skillset to help shape their ideas and creative practice, while also offering pastoral and professional support. You will be a creative, collaborative and ideas-driven individual, confident in managing people and multiple priorities, with extensive experience in producing complex projects with a range of partners.

The culture at BAC is a collaborative and open one. We work in an open plan space with no closed private offices and frequently work across teams and roles. We are lucky to have an outdoor terrace adjoined to the office which is particularly nice in the summer months. There’s a good culture of people taking lunch breaks away from desks and two equipped kitchen and eating areas where the team tend to spend their down time. We organise regular social events and things can get competitive at our annual sports day and Christmas quiz. Though to be clear, spectating is respected as much as taking part here at BAC!
