The role of the Events and Public Programmes Producer encompasses a range of responsibilities that focus on developing and delivering opportunities for new and existing audiences to engage with the range of narratives that make our rich history so unique and compelling.
Your focus will be to deliver public programming to support our mission and to identify and develop new revenue-generating activities to help support our financial sustainability.
You will work closely with your colleagues to ensure transparency of working, consistency across programming, and to help deliver tasks as needed.
You will also help to develop partnerships that enable us to extend and enrich our storytelling and to increase our income generation opportunities.
The Events and Public Programmes Producer will also take responsibility to support the day-to-day operations of the Museum, welcoming visitors, operating the till, and ticketing system and maintaining operational procedures, including all health and safety and security requirements, and acting as Duty Manager when required.
The Museum is currently open 3 days a week, Fri- Sun (and 4 days a week during school holidays, Thurs-Sun). This role will share a rota-based system with the Museum’s Assistant Manager to ensure weekend working and events are fairly distributed.
