Job Title & Department: Registered Nurse, Fixed Term Contract- 12 months
Role open to applications: Until 19th December 2025
Location: Dove House Hospice, Hull
Salary:£29,824 - £37,054 full time equivalent pro-rata per annum. (Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience within the scale). Paid direct into your bank account at monthly intervals.
Salary enhancements:
Bank Holiday Pay x 0.6 of the hourly rate
Saturday Enhancement x 0.3 of the hourly rate
Sunday Enhancement x 0.6 of the hourly rate
Unsocial Hours Enhancement (after 8pm) x 0.3 of the hourly rate
Nights Enhancement x 0.3 of the hourly rate.
Hours of work: Various Hours are available; to be discussed further at interview. Hours will be worked over a 12 hour shift pattern, covering days, nights, weekends, bank holidays etc.
We are looking to recruit a Registered Nurse to be part of our award winning team providing excellence in person centred care for people in the local community living with life limiting illnesses.
About the role!
The staff nurse will be responsible for the nursing, care and support of an identified group of patients, in conjuction with the senior staff nurse on duty. Along with providing excellent care, the staff nurse would also be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care, documenting all information accurately and legibly.
It is expected that the staff nurse would also demonstrate and develop an interest and expertise in palliative and end of life care nursing.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in nursing and will hold relevant nursing qualifications.
You will be have good communication and interpersonal skills, great organisation skills and have basic IT skills.
Experience in palliative care would be desirable.
