About the role
The Health Content Editor is a key member of the Health Content Team.
You’ll write, edit and review accessible, engaging and accurate health information in print and digital formats to help people with Parkinson’s live well and manage their condition. And you’ll make sure that our resources meet the needs of our audiences by involving people living with the condition and healthcare professionals to help shape this information.
You’ll also have an opportunity to write content for our information and support magazine, The Parkinson.
What you’ll do:

Develop evidence-based and accessible health content for print and digital channels, that follows the PIF Tick production process and is in line with the agreed production schedule.

Use data tools and insights to produce, shape and optimise digital information content.

Make sure health content effectively meets the target audience’s needs by involving users in development and evaluation, including people living with Parkinson's and healthcare professionals.

Be responsible for a number of projects at any one time, ensuring they are completed in a reasonable timeframe.

Manage, monitor and act on feedback received on our print and digital health information.
What you’ll bring:

Experience of developing, writing and editing accessible health information for a variety of audiences.

Knowledge of best practice in health information production and relevant standards, including PIF Tick.

Experience of using a CMS and a working knowledge of SEO and content design principles.

Relationship-building skills with a range of stakeholders including internal teams and the Parkinson’s community.

A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
